Dr. Wilson dedicated his professional career to public veterinary medicine within APHIS and at Tuskegee University since his retirement from Government service. teaching1He has made outstanding contributions to the health of the Nation's livestock and poultry industries through an illustrious federal career and has inspired hundreds of veterinary students to consider practicing in the public sector.VS is pleased to sponsor this scholarship in the name of one of its most distinguished veterinarians. The International Center for Tropical Animal Health (ICTAH), a program developed by the School of Veterinary Medicine, reflects the international commitment of the school as well as of the University.

The Master of Science in Animal Tropical Health is coordinated by Dr. Saul Wilson, a Tuskegee University - College of Veterinary Medicine Nursing and Allied Health graduate, who after several decades of work at the USDA amassed considerable experience in this field from work performed in the US and abroad. teaching

While under the administrative umbrella of the Associate Dean for Research and Advanced Studies (ADRAS), the Master of Science program in Tropical Animal Health boasts it own web page (ICTAH), where current and prospective trainees will find relevant information including courses suggested for the curriculum.

A predefined set of Core Courses is required for all Master programs in the CVMNAH.

As shown above, the design of the program of the International Center for Tropical Animal Health emphasizes a system’s approach to tropic animal health and production studies. The systems approach has been used in several disciplines and has proved successful in problem solving. The studies will focus on integrating technical education/training, with problem solving oriented research and health care service activities.
