To create a world class research and graduate studies enterprise at CVMANH to include:
1. Research geared to advance the biosciences especially in selected areas of molecular sciences and biotechnology. Building bridges across the disciplines especially with the agricultural, environmental and food sciences and other areas of the biosciences including bio-engineering, bio-business and related disciplines.
2. Research to promote the "one medicine concept". Building bridges to connect veterinary medicine with human health to exploit the new technologies and biotechnologies.
3. Research in advancing veterinary medicine into the new millennium.
