A. Gastric dilatation-volvulus (GDV):

Most commonly occurs in large-breed dogs. It occurs when the stomach rotates due to accumulation of gas inside the stomach. This rotation prevents the normal passage of ingesta, causing rapid fermentation and production of more gas that distends the stomach. The effects of rotation and distention leads to necrosis of large parts of the stomach wall due to the lack of sufficient blood flow.
