Stomach of the Dog:

1. Abdominal Wall

A. Lateral Abdominal Wall

Abdominal Muscles: There are four abdominal muscles that form the lateral and ventral abdominal muscular walls. They named from lateral to medial as, the external abdominal oblique, the internal abdominal oblique and the transversus abdominis. The aponeurosis of the latter muscles and the rectus abdominis form the ventral abdominal wall.

The internal abdominal oblique is now exposed, after the ventral reflection of the external abdominal oblique.

The transversus abdominis and the rectus abdominis are partially exposed, after ventral reflection of the external abdominal oblique and partial removal of the internal abdominal oblique.
