Stomach of the Dog:

5. Blood Supply

The stomach is supplied by three main branches of the celiac artery. The splenic artery supplies short gastric branches to the caudal part of the fundus, and left gastroepiploic artery that follows the greater curvature of the stomach to anastomose with the right gastroepiploic artery. The latter is one of the terminal branches of the gastroduodenal artery of the hepatic artery. The left gastric artery supplies branches to the esophagus, fundus and cardiac region, then continues on the lesser curvature to anastomose with the right gastric artery of the the hepatic artery.
