The fundus presents a flattened conical diverticulum, which distinguish the porcine stomach from other simple stomachs. the diverticulum points to the right and caudally. the stomach lies within the intrathoracic part of the abdominal cavity, mainly to left of the median plane; except the pyloric part which lies on the right. The greater curvature is directed toward the left and ventrally, the lesser curvature is directed toward the right and dorsally.
